Meet the “Skipper.”

Gah! We are in love with this machine. The Skipper, in tandem with a n Fauntleroy parking space, creates just the pinch of ferry dust this operation deserves to delivery diverse culinary experiences to the doors of islanders.

According to the Smithsonian, had the USPS not unrolled the “Westcoaster Mailster” in sunny, flat, Florida in the 50s, probably nowhere near as many would have been made (at one point in the 60s they comprised 1/3 of all mail carrier trucks in the US!)

Luckily for us, they were. Ours is a 1966 and these little machines might have failed miserably for their intended purpose, a more perfect vehicle for skipping through ferry lines, with an ample caboose for holding heated catering boxes, we have yet to find

With only 7.5 horsepower, what it lacks in speed, it delivers in spm’s (smiles per minute)—whether it’s me driving and smiling (impossible not to), folks looking and smiling, or you and your family smiling across the dinner table while enjoying an amazing, hot, diverse food experience, delivered through ferry lines, with care to your island doorstep.
